In short
Thai companies report about 76.6 trillion baht in combined revenue and 3.4 trillion baht in net profit as of 2 July 2026, drawn from 1,239,700 filed financial statements. Revenue is concentrated. Wholesale and retail plus manufacturing alone account for 78.4 percent of the total. The headline number is huge, but it rests on a narrow set of high-volume sectors.
How much do Thai companies earn in total?

That profit works out to the aggregate net margin of 4.42 percent. The totals come from 1,239,700 companies that have filed accounts, a little under two thirds of all registered firms. The rest are dormant, newly formed or simply have no statement on file.

A big number resting on a few sectors
The 76.6 trillion baht headline hides how narrow the base is. Wholesale and retail contributes 45.6 percent of revenue on razor-thin margins, and manufacturing adds 32.8 percent at a healthier one. Together those two sectors are 78.4 percent of all reported revenue. Financial and insurance, transportation and construction fill most of the rest. When one or two of these sectors move, the national total moves with them, so the aggregate is best read alongside the sector mix rather than on its own.
Definitions
- Reported revenue
- The sum of annual revenue across companies that have filed a financial statement.
- Revenue concentration
- The degree to which total revenue is produced by a small number of sectors or firms.
Assumptions
- Totals include only companies with a filed statement, so they understate the full economy.
- Each company's latest available statement is used, and filing dates vary.
Methodology
Total revenue and net profit are the sums of the latest reported annual figures across all companies that have filed a financial statement, from the DBD registry as of 2 July 2026. Sector revenue shares divide each section's reported revenue by the national reported total. Because only filed statements are included, the totals understate the full economy by excluding companies with no statement on file.
How we verified this
- Aggregate net margin cross-checked as 3,390,238,570,291 divided by 76,623,676,606,250, equal to 4.42 percent.
- Combined wholesale-and-retail and manufacturing revenue share recomputed at 78.4 percent of the national total.
- Leading sectors were confirmed ranked in descending order of reported revenue.
