How Much Profit Do Thai Companies Make Each Day in 2026?

Updated 11 July 2026Data as of 7 July 2026Verified

In short

Thailand's company register produces about 9.01 billion baht of net profit every single day. That comes from 3.29 trillion baht in annual net profit divided across 365 days. Manufacturing, finance and retail trade alone supply 73.9 percent of that daily total. The register turns 4.10 baht of every 100 baht in daily revenue into daily profit. New company formations, by contrast, averaged just 352 a day in 2025, proof that the profit clock and the formation clock run at very different paces.

How much profit do Thai companies make in a day?

Divide Thailand's aggregate net profit by the days in a year and the answer lands close to nine billion baht every single day. Companies on the Department of Business Development register that filed a financial statement earned 3,288,219,434,948 baht in net profit, as of 7 July 2026 (DBD, 2026). Spread that figure across 365 days and the daily rate comes to about 9.01 billion baht. Break it down further and profit accrues at roughly 375.4 million baht an hour, 6.26 million baht a minute and 104,269 baht a second. This site has published a daily rate before, but only for new company formations. This is the first time the same framing has been turned on what those companies actually earn.

Daily net profit by industry section, computed from annual totals as of 7 Jul 2026. Section totals sum to 9,011.4 million baht, about 0.03 percent above the 9,008.8 million baht national anchor used elsewhere on this page, because a small number of companies with reported financials carry no TSIC section code.

Why a daily profit number matters more than an annual one

A per-day figure forces a different kind of attention than a trillion-baht annual total ever gets. Company formation counts tell you how many new bets get placed each day, currently about 352 in 2025 (DBD, 2026). A daily profit figure tells you how the existing stock of nearly two million companies is performing right now, today, and every day after it. Only 1,263,354 of the 1,989,709 companies on the register, 63.5 percent, have ever filed a financial statement, so this nine billion baht a day comes from well under two thirds of the register, not the whole of it. Manufacturing, finance and retail supply 73.9 percent of that flow on their own, a concentration that says the daily profit clock is really being run by a handful of industries while formation spreads across all of them. Growth in the number of companies and growth in what they earn are two separate stories, and right now Thailand's earnings are concentrating even as its company count keeps climbing toward two million.

Definitions

Net profit
Revenue minus all costs and expenses, summed across every company in scope. It is an aggregate figure, not the average of individual company results.
Aggregate net margin
Total net profit divided by total revenue across all companies in scope, expressed as a percentage.
Filed financial statement
A company that has submitted at least one financial statement to the Department of Business Development. Only these companies contribute revenue and profit figures.
Daily rate
An annual total divided by 365 days. It is an average flow across the year, not a measurement of what happened on any specific calendar day.
TSIC industry section
One of 21 lettered categories in the Thailand Standard Industrial Classification, the broadest level of industry grouping used in the registry.

Assumptions

Methodology

The daily net profit figure divides the Department of Business Development aggregate net profit of 3,288,219,434,948 baht, summed across every company with a filed financial statement as of 7 July 2026, by 365 calendar days. It is an average flow computed from an annual aggregate, not a measurement of any single real day, and it does not adjust for weekends, public holidays or the mix of company fiscal year ends across the register. Sector daily figures divide each of the 21 TSIC industry section net profit totals by the same 365 days. The underlying base is 1,263,354 companies with a filed statement out of 1,989,709 registered companies, 63.5 percent of the register. The comparison formation rate of 352 a day uses full year 2025 new registrations, since 2026 is still in progress. Summed across all 21 sections, the section-level daily figures land about 0.03 percent above the national daily anchor, since a small number of companies with reported financials carry no TSIC section code and so fall outside every section total.

Frequently asked questions

How much profit does Thailand's company register produce each day?

About 9.01 billion baht a day, from 3,288,219,434,948 baht in aggregate net profit divided across 365 days, as of 7 July 2026.

Which industries contribute the most to that daily profit?

Manufacturing, financial and insurance, and wholesale and retail trade together supply 73.9 percent of the daily total, led by manufacturing at 3,007.2 million baht a day.

Does every registered company contribute to this profit figure?

No. Only the 1,263,354 companies that have filed a financial statement contribute, which is 63.5 percent of the 1,989,709 companies on the register.

How does the daily profit figure compare with daily company formation?

New companies formed at a rate of about 352 a day in 2025. The two rates measure different things, one counts new entities, the other divides an aggregate profit total, but placing them side by side shows how much faster money moves through the register than new companies join it.
