Thailand's Most Capital-Intensive 5-Digit Industry Codes (2026)
In short
TSIC code 64191 holds 22.75 trillion baht in total assets as of 7 July 2026. Just 19 filing companies sit inside that code. That works out to roughly 1.2 trillion baht in assets per firm, the highest of any five digit industry code in Thailand. The code sits inside the financial and insurance section, and its largest filer is Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. It beats the second ranked code by more than 30 times. Those 19 companies alone hold 22.2 percent of every baht of assets reported by Thai companies with a filed statement that year.
Which 5 digit code carries the most assets per company?
Rank Thailand's roughly 1,000 five digit industry codes by assets per filing company and one code stands apart from every other. TSIC 64191 reported 22.75 trillion baht in total assets in statement year 2568, which corresponds to 2025. Only 19 companies filed a statement under that code. Divide the two and each company in that code carries about 1.2 trillion baht in assets on average. The next closest code, 06100, an oil and gas extraction code whose largest filer is PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, averages 38.97 billion baht per company. TSIC 64191 still runs more than 30 times higher. Two more finance related codes, 64924 and 65110, round out the top four, each averaging above 33 billion baht per company. The DBD registry does not publish a plain language description for five digit codes, only the section letter and the filing companies inside it, so codes are identified here by number, section, and top filer (DBD, 2026). TSIC 64191 falls under section K, financial and insurance, and its single largest filer by revenue is Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, which points strongly toward a commercial banking code even though the registry will not confirm the label directly.

Why an unnamed code can matter more than a whole sector
Most rankings on this site work at the level of the 21 lettered sections, because the registry never published plain language names below that. TSIC 64191 shows why the five digit layer still matters. Nineteen companies hold 22.2 percent of every baht of assets reported by Thai companies with a filed statement in the 2568 filing year. That is a rounding error next to the 1.99 million entities in the full register. That concentration sits inside a section, financial and insurance, that already leads every other section on assets per company by a wide margin in a separate ranking on this site. Peel back one more layer and the concentration inside that section is itself extreme, with a single code running roughly 660 times the average of its own section. For anyone studying financial structure or corporate concentration in Thailand, a section level view alone understates how much balance sheet weight rests on a small number of filers. A shock to a handful of companies in one narrow code could move the national asset total far more than a shock spread across an entire sector of hundreds of thousands of firms. Bank of Thailand data on the banking system's own asset base, sitting in the tens of trillions of baht, is consistent with a small group of large banks anchoring this code (Bank of Thailand, 2025).
Definitions
- TSIC code
- The Thailand Standard Industrial Classification code assigned to a registered company. Codes run to five digits, and every code rolls up into one of 21 lettered industry sections.
- Assets per company
- Total reported balance sheet assets for all filing companies in a code, divided by the number of those companies, not the full registered count.
- Filing company
- A registered company that submitted a balance sheet and income statement to the DBD for the statement year measured.
- Statement year 2568
- The Buddhist calendar year used in the DBD registry, equal to 2025 in the Gregorian calendar.
- Industry section
- One of the 21 lettered top level categories in the TSIC classification, such as financial and insurance or manufacturing, that groups related five digit codes.
Assumptions
- Only TSIC codes with 5 or more filing companies in statement year 2568 are ranked, to keep single company averages from skewing the result.
- Total assets reflect book value as reported on each company's filed balance sheet, not market value.
- The registry does not publish a plain language description for five digit codes, so codes are identified by number, section, and top filer only.
- Statement year 2568, corresponding to 2025, is the most recently completed filing year in the dataset as of 7 July 2026.
Methodology
Assets per company for each five digit TSIC industry code is computed from the DBD registry's per code, per year aggregate table, using the most recently completed filing year, statement year 2568, which corresponds to 2025, as of 7 July 2026. Only codes with 5 or more filing companies in that year are included, so a single large company cannot produce an unstable average on its own. Total assets reported for each code is divided by the count of companies that filed a balance sheet for that code in that year. The registry does not publish a plain language description for five digit codes, so codes are identified by number, industry section letter, and the name of the top filing company by revenue rather than by an official industry name.
