Why this matters
Company count is the number a booster quotes. Revenue per company is the number a supplier, lender or site planner should read. Saraburi ranks 18th for company count and 13th for revenue, so it earns more than its headcount suggests. Ayutthaya climbs further, from 15th on count to 7th on revenue and 3rd on revenue per company. The gap suggests Ayutthaya carries more revenue behind each registered firm than Saraburi does. Registry totals cannot say which industries or companies drive that, and a few very large filers can lift a provincial average. Still, anyone choosing between the two for a plant, a warehouse or a sales territory should expect bigger average accounts in Ayutthaya.
Definitions
- Registered company
- A juristic person on the DBD registry whose registered address is in the province, whether or not it files accounts.
- Revenue per company
- Total reported provincial revenue divided by the number of registered companies in that province.
- Aggregate
- A total or ratio computed over a whole group of companies rather than an average of individual firms.
Assumptions
- Province is the registered address, which may differ from where a company operates or books its sales.
- Revenue covers only companies that filed a financial statement, while the company count includes all registered firms.
- Large firms that register in one province but operate in several can raise that province's revenue.
Methodology
Figures come from the Department of Business Development registry as aggregated by province, with data computed on 17 July 2026 and referred to here as of 17 July 2026. Companies are all registered juristic persons whose registered address falls in the province. Revenue is the total reported revenue of companies that have filed a financial statement. Revenue per company divides that total by all registered companies, so it is an estimate that understates revenue per filing company. Ranks cover the 77 provinces with a named record. Two registry rows without a province name are excluded from ranks.
