Thailand's Fastest Growing Industry Code: TSIC 63113 (2026)
In short
TSIC code 63113 grew revenue 32.4 fold between 2015 and 2025, the fastest of Thailand's five digit industry codes with a meaningful starting base. Revenue rose from 3.58 billion baht to 115.97 billion baht in a decade. The code sits inside the information and communication section, which grew only 11.8 percent over the same ten years. Strip this one code out and the rest of the section actually shrank 1.4 percent. A single sliver of the economy produced more revenue growth than its entire parent sector managed on its own.
Which industry code grew fastest between 2015 and 2025?
TSIC code 63113 answers the question outright. Its aggregate revenue climbed from 3.58 billion baht in 2015 to 115.97 billion baht in 2025, a 32.4 fold increase, the largest of any five digit industry code with a meaningful starting base (DBD, 2026). Company count in the code more than tripled too, from 204 filers in 2015 to 713 in 2025, so this is not one company skewing a tiny sample. The code sits inside section J, information and communication, home to telecommunications, software, broadcasting and data services. Section J's total revenue grew only 11.8 percent across the same ten years, from 849.50 billion baht to 949.83 billion baht. Remove code 63113 from that total and the rest of the section falls from 845.92 billion baht to 833.86 billion baht, a decline of 1.4 percent. The revenue this one code added, 112.39 billion baht, is larger than the 100.33 billion baht the whole section gained. One sliver of the economy produced all of its parent sector's net growth, and then some.

Why the growth is concentrated, and why it matters
The company driving most of code 63113's revenue is Shopee Thailand Company Limited. Shopee alone reports 88.39 billion baht in revenue against the code's 119.41 billion baht total across each company's most recently filed statement, a 74.0 percent share (DBD, 2026). That total runs slightly above the 115.97 billion baht figure for statement year 2025 alone because it draws on each company's latest available filing rather than one fixed year. Either way the concentration is the same story. A single filer accounts for roughly three out of every four baht the code reports. The code's yearly net margin tells its own story too. It ran deep losses for most of the decade. Net margin bottomed out at negative 68.2 percent in 2018. It turned slightly positive in 2022 and stayed positive through 2025. Thailand's electronic transactions agency has tracked a similar shift in the wider online market. Reported e-commerce transaction value stood at around 3.2 trillion baht in 2018. By 2023 that figure had climbed to 5.96 trillion baht (ETDA, 2024). A platform business that loses money for years while it buys market share, then turns a thin profit once it dominates, shows up in registry data exactly like this. The growth is real, filed and repeated across hundreds of companies. It also depends heavily on a small number of large filers, so a single platform's fortunes can move the whole code.
Definitions
- TSIC code
- Thailand Standard Industrial Classification code, a five digit number that identifies a company's specific line of business within one of 21 broader lettered industry sections.
- Industry section
- One of 21 lettered top level categories, such as J for information and communication, that groups related five digit TSIC codes.
- Revenue growth multiple
- The 2025 revenue figure divided by the 2015 revenue figure for the same code. A multiple of 32.4 means 2025 revenue was 32.4 times the 2015 level.
- Net margin
- Net profit as a share of revenue for all companies in a code that filed a financial statement in that year.
- Statement year
- The fiscal year a company's financial statement covers. The source system records it in the Buddhist calendar, which runs 543 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar, so year 2568 equals 2025.
Assumptions
- Only companies that filed a financial statement for a given year contribute to that year's revenue total, so the underlying filer population changes from year to year.
- The 2015 to 2025 comparison uses statement year endpoints rather than every year in between, which can mask a bumpier path than the endpoint change suggests.
- The growth ranking excludes codes with less than 1 billion baht of revenue or fewer than 50 companies in 2015, since a tiny starting base can produce an extreme multiple that is not economically meaningful.
- The registry does not carry a business description field for five digit codes, so the specific activity behind code 63113 is inferred only from its largest filer, not confirmed from the data itself.
Methodology
Revenue growth is measured as the change in aggregate reported revenue for each five digit TSIC industry code between statement year 2015 and statement year 2025, drawn from the DBD registry's per code, per year aggregates as of 7 July 2026. The growth ranking is limited to codes with at least 1 billion baht of revenue and 50 filing companies in 2015, to avoid multiples distorted by a tiny starting base. Statement years in the source system are recorded in the Buddhist calendar and were converted to the equivalent Gregorian year before comparison. Figures are aggregate totals across all companies in a code, not the average of individual company growth rates, and section totals are the sum of every five digit code that carries that section letter.
How we verified this
- Code 63113 revenue of 3,579,195,060.17 baht in 2015 and 115,971,868,992.06 baht in 2025 gives a ratio of 32.40, confirming the 32.4 fold multiple and 3,140 percent growth.
- Section J total revenue rose from 849,497,695,126.58 baht to 949,830,723,886.41 baht, a gain of 100,333,028,759.83 baht, which is 11.81 percent growth.
- Removing code 63113 from section J leaves 845,918,500,066.41 baht in 2015 and 833,858,854,894.35 baht in 2025, a decline of 1.43 percent.
- Code 63113's own revenue gain of 112,392,673,931.89 baht exceeds section J's total net gain of 100,333,028,759.83 baht, confirming the code alone accounts for more than the section's entire net growth.
- Shopee Thailand's reported revenue of 88,387,182,636 baht divided by code 63113's total revenue of 119,406,402,674.38 baht equals 74.0 percent.
- Code 63113 held 1,990 registered companies against 1,989,709 registered companies nationwide, which is 0.1 percent.

Frequently asked questions
Which Thai industry code grew revenue the fastest between 2015 and 2025?
TSIC code 63113, inside the information and communication section, grew revenue 32.4 fold, from 3.58 billion baht to 115.97 billion baht.
Did the information and communication section grow as fast as this one code?
No. The whole section grew only 11.8 percent over the same decade. Without code 63113, the rest of the section actually shrank 1.4 percent.
Is the growth in code 63113 driven by one company?
Largely. Shopee Thailand alone accounts for 74.0 percent of the code's current total revenue, so the number reflects one dominant platform plus many smaller filers, not a broad based shift across hundreds of similar firms.
Why does code 63113 not have a named business description?
The registry does not carry a description field for five digit codes. The code's top filer, a large online marketplace, indicates the kind of business it covers, but the official description cannot be verified from this data.
